My Story

Hi, 
My name is Blair, I am the Owner/ Operator and Founder of BH Resume Writing. I am a mother of three beautiful boys, and have lived in Gippsland my whole life.

 

Prior to becoming a stay at home mum, I worked for 10 years' in employment services, commencing as an Administration Trainee, working my way through the ranks to become an Employment Consultant. I was the go to person in our office to create Resumes and Application Letters for our clients. 


Deciding to not return to my role as Employment Consultant, and wanting to assist in supporting my family whilst being a stay at home mum, seeking flexibility in employment, I decided to put my experience in employment services and Resume writing to good use. My services have since increased to assisting in the preparation of Selection Criteria and editing/ reviewing employment documents.

 
BH Resume Writing has now been in operation for 9
 years. My business model has always been to provide my clients with affordable and quality employment documents. I offer very competitive rates, will email you a copy of your documents in Word format, which you can update as needed.

Resume Writing

Creating Resumes is my speciality, and something I really enjoy doing. 
I am able to work from your existing Resume, or we can start from scratch utilising my Resume template. 
I have a variety of different designs that I utilise, and your Resume can be created to suit a specific industry or position, or it can be general to suit each position you apply for. I continue to work on your documents until you are completely satisfied with them.

Application Letters make the first impression for your job application. I suggest to my clients that for each position they apply for, to include an Application/ Cover Letter, as it presents your Resume in a more professional manner. 
An Application Letter can be created for a specific position or industry, or can be general to use for each position you apply for. 
Documents are created in Word, and can be edited to suit each position you apply for.

Key Selection Criteria

Addressing Selection Criteria can be daunting and is often part of the job hunting process that no one enjoys, and a lot of people do incorrectly. Let me take some of the stress out of addressing Selection Criteria for you. 
I will ask you to provide me with an example of a situation in which you have demonstrated each dot point, prompting you for further information if required, and from here I can create a response to the Criteria.

Editing

Editing and Review Services

In some circumstances, all a document requires is a second set of eyes to look over it and double check spelling, grammar etc. I am able to provide an editing/ reviewing service, which is subject to document formatting. 
If you feel like you have a good document, please contact me and I will ask you to email it through to me, I will then have a look over it and let you know if I feel that it is able to be edited, or if it needs a complete rewrite. 
I am an honest person, and will advise you of the service best suited to your needs.

Junior Resumes and Letters

Are you 18 and under? I can assist in writing your Resume and/ or an Application Letter to get you into your first job. I have a resume proforma that I get you to complete and email back to me, I will prompt you for more information and from here I can create your documents in Word, which will enable you to edit and update them as your progress in your career.
